Erica's background is also in graphic design and art direction, with a creative instinct that tends toward the unexpected.
She lives with her husband and three kids on their South Jersey farm, surrounded by a rotating cast of goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks and dogs.
Erica is usually baking something, building out the gardens around her home, or knee deep in a renovation project.
Family is at the center of her life. Summers are spent on the Jersey Shore with family, where long days together and time near the water are a rhythm she looks forward to every year.
As the classic middle child Erica is playful, a little unconventional, and always drawn to ideas that feel thoughtful and imaginative.

Jackie’s background is in graphic design and advertising, with more than a decade spent shaping brands and visual ideas before building Herella with Erica.
Outside the studio, life is usually centered around her husband, three kids, and her velcro goldendoodle, Dr. Pippa.
She is usually planting something, relaxing on her back patio surrounded by her gardens, or creating watercolors. Traveling the world and staying in beautiful hotels is another one of her all-time favorite escapes.
Family is everything for Jackie. Some of the moments she treasures most are the simple ones, like the feeling of sunshine on her skin on a warm day or having everyone together with nowhere else they need to be.
True to her oldest-daughter nature, Jackie is particular, prepared, usually thinking a few steps ahead, and always making sure everyone around her is taken care of.

Herella is a name we built intentionally, drawing from the roots of the values that define us: strength, creativity, and sisterhood.
We looked to the root of Hera for its associations with strength, femininity, and the deep importance of family. Woven through with sorella, meaning sister in Italian, anchoring the name in the bond we share. Together, they form a word that is entirely our own, yet layered with purpose. It reflects the fact that creativity is not just what we do, but who we are, and that our work is shaped by the bond we share as sisters.
We challenge one another, notice different things and rarely arrive at an idea from exactly the same direction.
