Erica is a Co-Founder of Herella with a background in graphic design and art direction in advertising. She lives in South Jersey on a farm with her husband and three kids, along with a lively mix of goats, donkeys, chickens, ducks, and two dogs.

Her days usually begin with a little chaos, getting two boys out the door for school. Once the house quiets down, she balances it with a slower moment back on the couch with her daughter, hot tea in hand, watching the animals and birds outside before the rest of the day begins. When she is not working, Erica is usually baking something, building out the gardens around her home, or knee deep in a renovation project.

Family is at the center of her life. Summers are spent on the Jersey Shore with family, where long days together and time near the water are a rhythm she looks forward to every year. While she is a homebody at heart, she also loves to travel and finds endless inspiration in experiencing new places and cultures. She is playful, a little unconventional, and always drawn to ideas that feel thoughtful and unexpected. More than anything, though, the moments she treasures most are the simple ones, especially a hug from one of her kids.

Jackie is a Co-Founder of Herella, with a background in graphic design and art direction in advertising, where she spent more than a decade before starting the company. She lives in South Jersey with her husband, their three children, and Dr. Pippa, their goldendoodle, where daily life is often shaped by school drop offs, sports schedules, and the steady rhythm of family life.

Her mornings begin early helping everyone get out the door. Once the house quiets down, she settles in by the fireplace or out in her garden with her computer and a homemade latte, easing into the day as work begins. Outside of Herella, she is happiest in the quieter moments, reading by the pool, relaxing on her back patio surrounded by her gardens, or painting in watercolor. She also loves flipping through pie baking books and daydreaming about one day owning a little summer pie shop down the Shore, despite not ever baking one herself. Traveling the world and staying in bougie hotels is another one of her all time favorite escapes.

Family is at the center of everything for Jackie, and some of the moments she treasures most are the simple ones, time together at home, being surrounded by her gardens, and the feeling of sunshine on her skin. She and Erica have always balanced each other naturally, each bringing something different to both life and work, and that dynamic has shaped so much of what Herella is today.

Herella is a name we built intentionally, drawing from the roots of the values that define us: strength, creativity, and sisterhood. We looked to the root of Hera for its associations with strength, femininity, and the deep importance of family. Woven through with sorella, meaning sister in Italian, anchoring the name in the bond we share. Together, they form a word that is entirely our own, yet layered with purpose. It reflects the fact that creativity is not just what we do, but who we are, and that our work is shaped by the bond we share as sisters. We bring different strengths, different perspectives, and different ways of thinking, and it is in that contrast that our work becomes stronger.

Herella represents how we operate in harmony, balancing one another, challenging one another, and building something stronger together than we ever could apart.
